Frequently asked questions

  • Can anyone train to be a Feel the Fear coach?

Yes! If they have a desire to improve themselves, love the book and Susan’s work and have a desire to share with others.

Over the years we have seen coaches come to us from every corner of the globe and from all walks of life and professions. Whether they are Doctors of philosophy in the Far East, Uber Drivers in Georgia USA or lecturers in Azerbaijan, we welcome everyone to the program.

We respect and honor every applicant who has faced their fears and come on board to share the important message from the book Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway®, no matter what their background, educational status or location.

Few people have helped change as many lives as the much-loved author and leading self-help authority Dr. Susan Jeffers, Ph.D., who first captured the world’s heart 30 years ago with her acclaimed book, which has sold over 20 million copies in 100 countries and been translated into 36 languages over the last 30 years.

Susan Jeffers, herself taught Feel The Fear courses around the world to small groups and audiences of thousands. The overwhelming demand for workshops prompted her to start licensing qualified instructors to teach workshops in order to touch as many lives as possible.

Our task is to continue her work.

NLP Adv.Dip CBT Rachael is based in the UK and personally knew and worked alongside Dr. Susan Jeffers in her role as Director of UK Training for ‘Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway®’.

  • How long does Feel the Fear Training Take?

The total time to complete training is completely dependent upon the student - since they have full control over the courses they are studying. We have seen students complete in as little as one weekend, other students have taken much longer to work their way through the process, a great deal depends on the time availability of the individual taking the course.

  • Is there demand for Feel the Fear workshops?

Every month the most requested page on our site is the events page. That’s the page where people go to try and find a seminar or workshop in their area to continue their understanding of Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway®. That statistic alone should remind us of the need for this work in our troubled society…

  • Is it wrong to charge people for helping them?

Money is a topic we’ve picked up on that seems to trouble quite a few potential instructors Whether the fears are based on a sort of ‘imposter syndrome’ or the fear of failure, students often say that they are worried about charging for their services.

On closer examination, however, we can see that this fear is COMPLETELY GROUNDLESS. It is regrettable, but nevertheless true, that money is the exchange mechanism by which value is traded – if a person adds value to another’s life, that exchange deserves to be rewarded for two reasons…

The provider of the services has exchanged their own time effort and finance to be in the position to deliver the service and deserves recompense. If the provider of the services does not charge for them, then they are undermining their own self-worth and confidence.

In many parts of the world, a trip to the doctor for help with a health issue is generally followed by the receipt of a bill for his services. We don’t balk at this or consider it unreasonable for someone who has trained hard and long to gain his experience and knowledge, to expect recompense for applying his skill to our situation, do we?

Granted, most of us are not doctors or clinicians. but just like the person who mends your car, fixes your heating or cures your illness, we add value to other people’s lives at the expense of our own time and effort. That service deserves a reward.

  • How do Feel the Fear instructors earn money?

Whether they work on a one to one basis with private clients or hold seminars for business or corporate clients, our coaches have one thing in common.

They add value to their customers. On that basis, if a person adds value to another’s life, that exchange deserves to be rewarded for two reasons… The provider of the services has exchanged their own time, effort and finance to be in a position to deliver the service.
If the provider of the services does not charge for them, then they are undermining their own self-worth and confidence.

Value could be defined by a business client as training to improve communications between employees or increase sales, or it might be defined by an individual client as improved well-being and self-confidence. There are also many different levels of value between working with an individual, a small local group, and presenting to a large corporate audience.
